Having healthy hair is one of the most important things to me, just after having clear skin. This post will take you through some of my favourite hair hacks that have saved my locks from being dry, brittle and full of spilt-ends. Having said that, getting beautiful, long, thick hair is still a work in progress.
I actually used to use this trick all of the time and it actually works. I find it best done when you’re hair is damp as the curls stay in better throughout the day. If your hair is too wet when you put it in the twirls, you’ll end up with wet hair when you wake up.
I’m very much into my health tips and finding superfoods that’ll make my hair stronger, thicker and longer. Instead of going out and buying lots of expensive products (that don’t usually work), I prefer to opt for inexpensive things that can easily be added into a daily routine so that I can be sure to use them.
Adding various foods to my diet is one of the easiest ways to ensure I’m getting the nutrients for healthy hair.
To help with breakage and to grow thicker and longer hair, it’s important to care for your roots. My hairdresser always reinforces this when I ask for advice on how to improve my hair health. This product from LUSH is amazing for repairing breakage and helping your hair grow.
Another tip my hairdresser says is to watch which brush you are using on your hair. This can often be one of the main causes why hair snaps and breaks. Using the wrong brush over time can also lead to your hair refusing to grow in the future which is often why people find their hair won’t grow past a certain length.
As well as choosing the right hairbrush for your hair type, it’s important to choose the right hair brush for the hairstyle your planning on creating, too.
